End of an Era – Mercedes Final SLR Stirling Moss Editions
It’ the end of an era for Stirling Moss and the Mercedes SLR – MB has ended production of th classic roadster. Stirling Moss has been part of the Mercedes /McLaren SLR line up since 2004, creating intense variants including a 5.5-litre V8 supercharged making 626hp in the Coupé and Roadster models as well as 650hp in the 722 Edition and Stirling Moss versions with a 0 – 60 time of 3.5 seconds.
Of the 2,000 SLRs built, only 75 would ultimately be badged Stirling Moss, thus making more selective what was already a highly unattainable car.
