Mercedes A-Class – The Future Mini Killer
Ok, calling the future Mercedes A-Class compact car a “Mini Cooper Killer” might be too much, but we can’t say it’s a Smart Car killer, because both are produced by Mercedes Benz. However, the Mercedes A-Class, originally due out in the US by 2011, may be scrapped thanks to our wonderful economy. A two-door, tiny A-Class, along with a small B-class Coupe, were originally set to hit North America in 2009, then in 2010 and …well you get the picture.

With fuel prices still hovering in the $2.50 range having a compact Mercedes, reasonably prices, might be the perfect way to induct an entire new set of cost-conscious fans to the make. With models like Mini and Toyota’s Yaris (both regular and hybrid) still making a dent in US car sales, now would be the perfect time to introduce a “luxury” brand of tiny transports. Keep your eyes peeled for more A-Class updates.
