Mercedes BlueZero Concept
Mercedes has not one but three concept cars as part of their alternative energy BlueZero line-up. You’ll be able to see all three at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show, each equipped with the best ways to improve fuel economy: electric, hybrid and fuel cell.

Mercedes’ BlueZero E-Plus Cell is the most exciting of all group – running on an extended range electric power cell, which can regenerate much like the Chevy Volt. The vehicle uses its generator to charge batteries with an internal combustion back-up when the batteries die. What we like more about the BlueZero are their designs. Looking more like a Mazda Nagera concept, these coupes are a next generation look for the style department at Mercedes. We’re looking forward to the auto show and more designs like this one from our favorite European auto maker.
